Session Notes - April 20, 2008 Session

This session marked the thirty-third of NSA Club #565 (Northwest)'s 2007-2008 season!

The goodies table included veggies, nuts, raisins, and chips today. Thanks to all who provided snacks for the group.

The tournament rules division was joined by 2 players who played 6 games in which we scored 2,487 points for a 414.50 point-per-game average. Of the 10 recorded bingos we played, none were phoneys that went unchallenged.

We featured two regular contests this week.

There were no entries for either of the contests this week so we'll run them against next time.

Monique, having learned to live without it during the three weeks since she won $1.50 in a March 30th contest, donated that prize back to the club kitty. Thanks, Monique!

No one cashed in on any of the Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall have $0.37 added to it. As of this session we have paid out $286.96 in prizes this season. Click here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2007-2008 season.

The next session (April 27, 2008) shall feature the following contests:
• The Fabrics Of Our Lives Contest - $1.50 plus a quarter of dues collected shall be awarded to the player who turns in the highest scoring play of a word that is the name of, or incorporates the name of within it, a fabric of some kind. (e.g. GALATEA, FUSTIAN, DORNOCKS, SPANDEX, SHALLOON, TORCHON, WOOLFELL, ETAMINES, DUNGAREE, FOULARD, etc.).
• "IC" A Contest - $1.50 plus a quarter of dues collected shall be awarded to the player who turns in the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letter couplet "IC", in that order, somewhere within it. (e.g. XEROTIC, PICACHO, ICEBLINK, STOICAL, KINESICS, ZEBRAIC, etc.)
•Triple-Triple Progressive Jackpot* - $1.11 plus a sixteenth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores a Triple-Triple play.
•100+ Play Progressive Jackpot* - $2.98 plus a sixteenth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores 100 or more points in a single play
•Club 565 Progressive Jackpot - $2.23 plus a sixteenth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who scores 565 or more points in a single game.
•9+ Bingo Progressive Jackpot* - $2.98 plus a sixteenth of the session's dues will be awarded to any player who plays a bingo of 9 or more letters in length.
* = Jackpot prizes cannot be combined.
