This session marked the fourth week of NSA Club #565's 2007-2008 season!
This season will be our first full season as a two-tiered club with both a Recreational and a separate Tournament Rules Division. There will be some tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
We enjoyed the company of Sarah Jacobson, who will be moving to Tucson at the end of February, 2008 and, hopefully, will be joining us as a regular at that time.
We were joined by 3 tournament division players who played 10 games. Of the 13 recorded bingos we played, one was a phoney that went unchallenged.
Leslie Weber and Pat Madea made up our recreational division again this week. Each played most of their games against tournament division players. Click here for a roster of Recreational Players
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured one repeat and two regular contests this week.
Once again, no one posted an entry for The Name Of The Game Contest this week so we'll run it again next time. $3.00 awaits the winning game player.
The first regular contest was the It's All About "ME" Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the couplet "ME" in that order somewhere within it. Recreational player Pat Madea came up with the only entry for this contest, playing WOMEN for 14 pts and the $3.00 payoff.
The second regular contest was the It's All About "U" Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letter "U" somewhere within it. Mickey Matz laid down FRUITY for 38 pts, Sarah Jacobson managed 64 pts with a fine play of QUIDS and Ed Saunders wins the Prize with his 72 pt bingo STOUTENS.
No one cashed in on any of the Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall have $0.56 added to it. As of this session we have paid out $17.25 in prizes this season. Click here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2007-2008 season.
