This session marked the fifteenth week of NSA Club #565's 2007-2008 season!
Since this season will be our first full season as a two-tiered club with both a Recreational and a separate Tournament Rules Division. There will be some tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
We were joined by 2 tournament division players who played 8 games. Of the 12 recorded bingos we played, none were phoneys that went unchallenged.
No recreational players were present and no games were played in the rec division this week. Click here for a roster of Recreational Players
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured two regular contests this week
The first regular contest was The Words Of Love Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that reflects the meaning of the Valentine's Day holiday. Strangely apropos, Mickey Matz's 70 point play of TENSING wins the $1.50 prize.
The second regular contest was The Gem Show Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that is the name of, or that incorporates the name of somewhere within it, a mineral, rock, or geological formation. No entries were received for this contest and it will run again next week.
Ed Saunders played five bingos (GRISTLE, INTEGRAL, RESIDUAL, LEAPING, and DETENTE) en route to a huge 582 game and wins the $11.93 in the Club 565 Progressive Jackpot.
Ed's winnings will be donated back to the club kitty.
