This session marked the tenth week of NSA Club #565's 2007-2008 season!
Since this season will be our first full season as a two-tiered club with both a Recreational and a separate Tournament Rules Division. There will be some tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
We were joined by 3 tournament division players who played 12 games. Of the 23 recorded bingos we played, 3 were phoneys that went unchallenged.
Anita Almond comprised our recreational division this week. Click here for a roster of Recreational Players
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured two regular contests this week
The first regular contest was the "UN" Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the couplet "UN", in that order, somewhere within it. Ed Saunders threw some PUNKS into the fray for 33 pts but Richard Spence PUNCHED them out for 72 pts and walked off with the $2.25 prize.
The second regular contest was the "ABLE" Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letters "A","B", "L", and "E", in any order, somewhere within it. Ed picks up $2.25 for the club kitty with the only entry of the contest, ABELIAS for 75 pts.
Ed's $2.25 winnings go to the club kitty.
Mickey Matz shaved off the 100+ Play Progressive Jackpot this week, totaling
104 pts for his bingo of RAZORING. Mickey scrapes
together $6.15 for his efforts.
No one cashed in on any of the other Progressive Jackpots this week and
each shall have $0.56 added to it. As of this session we have paid out $60.38
in prizes this season. Click
here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2007-2008 season.
The next session (January 17, 2008) shall feature the following contests:
• The High-Powered Contest - A quarter of dues

BOOJUMS, etc.).
• The Low-Powered Contest - A quarter of dues
collected shall be awarded to the player who turns in the highest scoring

it. Any blanks used must be designated as a letter worth one point. (e.g.
