This session marked the fifth week of NSA Club #565's 2007-2008 season!
This season will be our first full season as a two-tiered club with both a Recreational and a separate Tournament Rules Division. There will be some tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
We were joined by 2 tournament division players who played 4 games. Of the 7 recorded bingos we played, none was a phoney that went unchallenged.
Leslie Weber, Anita Almond, and Pat Madea made up our recreational division this week. Each played most of their games against tournament division players. Click here for a roster of Recreational Players
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured one repeat and two regular contests this week.
Once again, no one posted an entry for The Name Of The Game Contest this week so we'll run it yet again next time. $3.00 awaits the winning game player.
The first regular contest was the "IC" A Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the couplet "IC" in that order somewhere within it. There were no entries for this contest, either. So "IC" it coming back again next week with $2.25 awaiting a winner.
The second regular contest was the Call The "MP"s Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the couplet "MP" in that order, somewhere within it. Ed Saunders only got 18 points, but it was AMPLE enough to steal the $2.25 prize.
Ed's $2.25 winnings, along with Pat Madea's $3.00 payoff from last week's contests, will be donated back to the club kitty. Thanks to both.
No one cashed in on any of the Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall have $0.37 added to it. As of this session we have paid out $19.50 in prizes this season. Click here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2007-2008 season.
