This session marked the thirtieth week of NSA Club #565's 2007-2008 season!
Since this season will be our first full season as a two-tiered club with
both a Recreational and a separate Tournament Rules Division. There will
be some tweaking done as the Recreational Division develops.
We welcomed, and enjoyed the company of, Scrabulous player Risa Shire who
made her first visit to club this Thursday. Risa comprised our recreational
division this week, playing a game each against Pat Madea and Ed Saunders.

In the Tournament session, we were joined by 2 tournament division players who played 4 games in which we scored 1,438 points for a 359.50 points per game average. Of the 5 recorded bingos we played, none were phonies that went unchallenged.
Some numbers and whatnot for this tournament session include:
Some interesting bingos:
We featured two regular contests this week
The first regular contest was the LOcation, LOcation, LOcation! Contest for the highest scoring play of a word that contains the letter couplet "LO", in that order, somewhere within it. Pat Madea's fourth play of the session loomed big in this contest as he took it with LOOM for 10 pts to weave his way home with the $2.25 prize.
The second regular contest was the Hydration Is Important! Contest for
the highest scoring play of a word that is the name, or incorporates the
name of somewhere within it, a beverage of some kind. Risa Shire picked
up her first contest win with AQUA for 18 points, adding the "A"
to an already existing "QUA" to form AQUA/AH
and take a $2.25 sip from the winner's cup.
No one cashed in on any of the Progressive Jackpots this week and each shall
have $0.56 added to it. As of this session we have paid out $191.80 in prizes
this season. Click
here for a complete list of prizes awarded during the 2007-2008 season.
The next session (June 12, 2008) shall feature the following contests:
