This was the 49th and final session of the 2004 - 2005 Season of National Scrabble Association Club #565!
We were joined by five players who played 15 games in which we scored 11,062 points for a 737.5 point-per-game average. Of the 37 recorded bingos we played, only one was a phony that went remained unchallenged.
Some numbers and whatnot for this session include:
High Game - 435 points by Ed Saunders
Low Win - 356 points by Ed Saunders
High Loss - 395 points by Lewis Saul (Opponent at 435)
Bingo King - Ed Saunders for averaging 1.714 bingos per game
As this was the last session of the 2004-2005 season, we had two contests in that theme. The first was for the highest scoring play using the tiles E-N-D, played in that order. Naurlene Canterman took this one with a low-scoring play of TREND, which only scored her 12 points but did the job. The second contest was for the highest scoring end play of a game, which Ed Saunders took with by bingoing out with a 75 point play of POSTURE. Both Ed and Naurlene take home $3.25.
We ended the season by finishing out the The "10 Useful Letters" contest, which Ed Saunders won hands down with a total score of 8 points. For final results for this contest, click here. None of the progressive jackpots were won, and $0.93 shall be added to each. As of this session, we have payed out $972.57 in prizes for the 2004-2005 season. Click here for a complete list of winners.
