We were joined by a 6 players, who played a total of 17 games in which we scored 12,296 points for a 723.3 point-per-game average. Of the 39 recorded bingos we played, 2 were phonies that went unchallenged. We were also joined by Rex Kremer, who has not been seen for close to a year. Rex showed up to introduce his 9 month old son Remington (Remi for short), who is the spitting image of his dad, and to play a few games.
Some numbers and whatnot for this session include:

Low Win - 320 points by Michael Rhodes

Bingo Kings - Ed Saunders and Joshua Kassel for each averaging 1.5 bingos per game
Best Nongo - Naurlene Canterman notes Joshua Kassel blocked her bingo of CAJOLING.
Bingo, Bingo, Bingo - Joshua Kassel opened with three back-to-back bingos in his game against Naurlene Canterman, playing OXIDIZES (76) through the "E" of Naurlene's opening play TAUPE, then HOSTING (75) and then CALIFATE (76)through an existing T.
Embarrasing Phony Bingo - With the rack ??ENOSV, Josh Kassel played the phony bingo VEINOUS* despite there being 18 seven-letter bingos and 65 eight-letter bingos (and a wide open board)
Some interesting bingos:
- CALIFATE \n. The domain of a Muslim leader: variant of CALIPHATE (played by Joshua Kassel)

This session featured four contests. First was the DE-ER contest for the highest scoring word starting with DE- and ending with -ER. Ed Saunders picked this up with a 70 point play of DESIGNER. The second was the RE-ED Contest for the highest scoring play beginning with RE- and ending with -ED. Joshua Kassel picked this up with RECITED for 40. The contest for High Loss went to Rex Kremer for a 373 point loss (to his opponent's score of 382). Finally, the "Direction" contest for the highest scoring play of a word relating to a direction goes to Michael Rhodes for a 98 point play of RELAYING. Ed, Josh, Rex, and Michael all take home $4.00 prizes.
This was the last session to feature the Alphabet Bingo Contest, in which all bingos starting with an "Z" scored a point. Nobody turned in an Z bingo, and the results are in. Nathan Benedict took 1st place with 13 points and wins $15.00. Joshua Kassel took 2nd place with 12 points and wins $11.00. Click here for full Alphabet Bingo results!
