+ Session NotesThis was our 35th session of the season. We were joined by 8 players including Bob Yarmchuk, a new player to the club who performed exceptionally well. We welcome him! We played a total of 23 games in which we scored an even total of 16,772 points for a 729.2 points-per-game average. We played 49 bingos this session. Of those bingos, three were phonies that went unchallenged. As of this session, we have paid out $846.63 in prizes for the 2003-2004 season; click here for the list of winners! Some numbers and other oddness for the session include: Ed Saunders was the top player, turning in a perfect 5-1 +714 scorecard. The contests for the evening were for Low Win, which Josh scooped up with a 334-301 game. The other contest for the evening was the Power Tile Bingo contest for th highest-scoring bingo using the J, Q, X, or Z tile. Newcomer Bob Yarmchuk picked this up with a 68-point bingo of QUOTIENT. the July 8th ringing of the Liberty Bell and first ever public reading of the Declaration of Independence. Both Josh and Bob take home prizes of $5.25. One of the progressive jackpots was won.
Monique Kornell won the 100+ Point Play jackpot by turning in a 112-point play that used only 5 tiles. She put down QUINS, hooking the S to the front of ELECTION to form SELECTION, thus capturing a triple-word score in two directiosn. She wins $1.31 for this play. The other three progressive jackpots will
