+ Session NotesThis was our 30th session of the season. We were joined by 11 players including Melissa Fellure, who read about us in the paper and descided to drop in for a few games. We played a total of 30 games in which we scored a total of 21,232 points for a 707.3 points-per-game average. We played 55 bingos this session. Of those bingos, only one was a phony that went unchallenged. As of this session, we have paid out $769.15 in prizes for the 2003-2004 season; click here for the list of winners! Some numbers and other oddness for the session include: Lewis Saul cleaned up this evening by being the top player of the session as well as winning several contests. The first of the session's contests was the "Bingo Followup Contest" for the highest-scoring play made the turn after playing a bingo. Afew folks played two bingos in a row for some very impressive entries, but the winner was Lewis, who played a bingo of ACRIDEST followed by a 107-point bingo of CAJOLING the very next play. The second contest of the session was for High Loss. Naurlene canterman picked this up with a 395 point loss to her opponent's 403 points. Both Lewis and Naurlene take home prizes of $7.50. We had a few folks win jackpots as well. The 100+ Jackpot was won by Lewis Saul for his aforementioned 107-point play of CAJOLING and takes home the $9.94 Jackpot. Two folks played bingos of 9 or more letters and will split the 9+ Bingo Jackpot, each taking home $9.94. The first 9-letter bingo was MANDATING, put down by Naurlene Canterman. The second long bingo was a phony of OPTIONERS*, played by Jake Jacobs. Nobody won the other two progressive jackpots, and $1.88 shall be added to them. + Bingos by PlayerBelow are the bingos played during the 10 June 2004 session at National Scrabble Association Club #565.
