+ Session NotesThe 2003-2004 session went off with a bang! 12 players joined us for 29 games in which we scored 21,039 points and played 65 bingos. Starting the season on a high note, not a single bingo was a phony. We welcomed Mary Stevens, a visiting player from Berkeley, CA. Mary was in the state for last weekend's Grand Canyon Tournament with her husband Norbert (not a Scrabble player) decided to venture down south to pay us a visit. We also saw the return of an old friend, Brent Aronson. Brent has been laying low out of the Scrabble limelight for the past several months. We welcome him back! Nathan Benedict was the evening's top player, turning in a 4-1 +415 scorecard. The title Bingo King is shared by both ed Saunders and Lewis Saul, both of whom played 11 bingos in 6 games. The prize for high Win goes to Ed Saunders for a 527 point game against Josh, who is still licking his wounds after being stomped by many folks (look at his cume). The "TOP of the Season" contest winner is Nathan Benedict with a 17 point play of TOPAZ. Ed and Nathan both take home $7.75 prizes. Way to go! The Double Bingo Contest had a strong start. Six people scored points by playing bingos that started with either A or Z; click here for standings. Nobody won any of the four jackpot Prizes, and $2.06 will be added to each. Better luck next time! Next Session (13 November) will feature the following contests: + Bingos by PlayerBelow are the bingos played during the 06 November 2003 session at National Scrabble Association Club #565.
