Session Notes:

Important note. Denny's Restaurant is closing for a week to remodel. Therefore, there will be no club session at Denny's Restaurant on Thursday April 10. We are looking at the possibilities of other venues and will keep everyone updated.

This was our 20th session of the season. 15 players competed in 33 games in which a total of 24,286 points were scored. Our players threw down 66 bingos this session. Of those bingos, five were phonies that went unchallenged. As this is the last game of the month, we also have club ratings for March, 2003!

Ed Saunders was both the bingo king as well as the top player, turning in a perfect 3-0 +454 scorecard. Ed also cashed in on the Triple-Triple jackpot with an obscure play of ZAREEBAS for a slick 185 points, not to mention a $7.50 prize. In the same game he also played a noteworthy Double-Double HEADSET, which netted him 98 points. Other high-point notables of the session included Josh Kassel scoring two plays of over 100 points: reboxes* (a phony) for 105 points and EXCISES (played with the help of two blanks) for 112 points. Bob Whitcomb showed his small word mettle by turning in a 424-point game. Bob's score was not that much of an accomplishment (especially for him) unless you consider he broke the 400 mark without the help of a single bingo in his game. Impressive!

Monique Kornell won the "PRE-fix" contest for the highest-scoring word beginning with "PRE" with a bingo of PRESENCE, which scored 68 points. Naurlene Canterman is the winner of the Low Win contest with her victorious score of a mere 332 points. Both Monique and Naurlene win $7.50 for their efforts. Nobody won the 9+ Bingo Jackpot, and it now stands at $3.75.

Next session (27 March 2003) will feature prizes for:
- High Loss (a quarter of dues collected)
- "I See" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the player who plays the highest-scoring word that ends with IC (e.g., ZOIC, CHYMIC, BULIMIC, etc.). (a quarter of dues collected).
- Triple-Triple plays (an eighth of dues collected)
- 9+ Bingos  ($3.75 plus an eighth of dues collected)
