Session Notes:
For our 30th session of the season, 9 players racked up a total of 16,173 points over 22 games. We saw 48 bingos played this session. For the first time this season, none of the bingos played were phonies.

Rich Fields joined us for the last time before taking off for the summer to the cooler climate of Seattle. He'll be missed, but he'll be back in the fall. Rich taking off is a good segue into a reminder that the summer months are upon us. Several of our regular players have left town to avoid the brutal Southern Arizona heat, and our sessions will be smaller in size for the next few months. We encourage you to attend club as regularly as you are able and to feel free to bring a friend.

Linda Bredel was the top player of the evening, turning in a perfect 4-0 scorecard. Ed Saunders was Bingo King, playing 9 bingos in 5 games.  Linda Bredel won the "NO Contest" contest for the highest scoring play made with a word beginning with "NO" with a 47 point play that included the simple word "No."  Josh Kassel took the HIgh Four Contest with the highest scoring play made with only four tiles by playing JINS for 54 points.  Both these contests win $4.00 prizes.

The Alphabet Bingo contest featured the letter F, and only one player (Linda) played bingos starting with it. Playing FLATTER and FUSSING, Linda picks up two points. For Alphabet Bingo rules and details, click here. Nobody nailed a Triple-Triple play or a bingo with 9 or more letters, and we will add $2.25 to each of these jackpots.

Next Session (19 June) will feature the following contests:
- TRI Contest - A prize will be awarded for the highest-scoring word that begins with the letters NO (e.g., TRIP, TRICK, TRIFOLD, etc.)  (~a quarter of dues collected)

- "High Five" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the highest-scoring play that is made by playing five tiles. This can be the result of playing a four-letter word (e.g., SQUID, ZITIS, etc.) or extension or hook play (e.g., adding RE to the beginning and ING to the ending of TURN to form RETURNING). (~a quarter of dues collected).
- Triple-Triple Jackpot - A jackpot of $22.00 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a Triple-Triple Play.
- 9+ Bingo Jackpot
- A jackpot of $29.00 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a bingo containing nine or more letters.
- Alphabet Bingo
- The Alphabet Bingo letter for this session is "G." For each bingo you play that begins with the letter G, you score one point. Click here for more information about Alphabet Bingo. ($26 Jackpot)
