We had a very light showing of six players for this 41st session of the season. We played 15 games in which 12,876 points were scored for a 858.4 points-per-game average, a very high-scoring night. We saw 43 bingos for the session, none of which were phonies, also an unusual occurrence. Since this was the last session for the month of August, club rankings for August are available as well.

Nathan was the top player of the evening, bested only once by Lewis Saul. Nathan also wins the High Power Tile contest for an 81-point play of CLOQUE, beating out a great find of JACKY for 74 points, which was played by Gary Wagman and unsuccessfully challenged. The prize for the High Open contest goes to Ed Saunders for a 76-point opening play of SCORNED. We saw three double-double plays of PERILOUS (86 points), ENGINEER (86 points), and INDEXER (76 points), played by Nathan, Naurlene, and Ed, respectively. Since the double-double prize can only go to one person, I flipped a coin. Naurlene wins the double-double prize.

Because of the commonality of double-double plays, we are going to retire this jackpot for a while and replace it with a new one. Nobody nailed the Triple-Triple jackpot, the "Deja Bingo" Jackpot, or the 9+ Bingo Jackpot, and all those prizes will grow $0.75 in size. The Alphabet Bingo letter of the night was Q, but nobody scored points. Ed is still in the lead.

Next Session (04 September) will feature the following contests:
- High Game - A prize will be awarded to the player with the highest-scoring game of the session. (~a quarter of dues collected)
- "Paralell Play" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the player who forms the most amount of words in a single play. In the event of a tie (which there is bound to be), the player with the highest score shall win. In order to qualify for this prize, you must write down the word you played, the resulting words that were created, and the total score for the play. Pluralizing a previously-played word counts as creating a new word. (~a quarter of dues collected)
- Triple-Triple Jackpot - $4.39 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a Triple-Triple Play.
- 600 Jackpot - An eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to the player to any player(s) who score 600 or more points in a game.
- 9+ Bingo Jackpot - A jackpot of $10.39 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a bingo containing nine or more letters. 
"Deja Bingo" Jackpot - $0.75 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who plays the same bingo more than once in a session.
