Eleven players showed up for the 38th session of the season. A total of 26 games were played in which 58  bingos were played, only one of which was a phony that went unchallenged. We scored 18,999 points throughout the evening, for a 730.7 point-per-game average or 365.4 points per player per game.

For a second week in a row Nathan was the top player of the evening with a perfect 6-0 score card. For a second week, he wears the Bingo King crown as well, turning in 11 bingos in 6 games. Ed Saunders played the high game of the evening, turning in a score of 518, helped in no small part by 3 bingos. Acknowledgements go to Cairn for gaining 57 rating points this session, her highest gain ever.

The Prize Patrol reports the following winners. Karen Lundeen played MOISTER for 75 points and followed it with an 84 point play of QUALE to win the "Add it Up" Contest for the highest amount of points (159) in two successive plays. Nathan Benedict wins the Animal Contest for the highest-scoring play that is an animal by scoring 71 points for ENTOZOA, a parasite. Karen and Nathan both win $5. Josh thought he had it in the bag with a 98 point play of DEVOTING, but Ed Saunders wins the Double-Double Jackpot with a 118 point play of TEAZLING. Ed picks up $1.38 for that play.

Nobody won the 9+ Bingo Jackpot, the Triple-Triple Jackpot, or the "Deja Bingo" Jackpot, and those continue to grow. Finally, four points were scored The Alphabet Bingo Contest. Ed Saunders is still in first place with  with a total of 8 bingos starting with the letter N. With the contest at the halfway point, Ed Saunders is still in 1st place with 15 points. Linda Bredel and Josh Kassel are tied for second place with 7 points each.

Next Session (14 August) will feature the following contests:
- High Game - A prize will be awarded to the player who plays the highest-scoring game. (~a quarter of dues collected)
- "Close Call" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the player who wins a game by the narrowest margin. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest standing for the session will win the prize. (~a quarter of dues collected)
- Triple-Triple Jackpot - $1.38 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a Triple-Triple Play.
- Double-Double Jackpot - An eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to the player with the highest scoring Double-Double Play.
- 9+ Bingo Jackpot - A jackpot of $7.38 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who scores a bingo containing nine or more letters. 
"Deja Bingo" Jackpot - A jackpot of $7.38 plus an eighth of the evening's dues will be awarded to any player(s) who plays the same bingo more than once in a session.
- Alphabet Bingo - The Alphabet Bingo letter for this session is "O." For each bingo you play that begins with the letter O, you score one point. ($26 Jackpot)
