Session Notes:

There will be no club session at Denny's Restaurant on Thursday, April 17. Denny's is closed for remodeling. The next session will be Thursday, April 24.

This was our 22th session of the season. We has a light crowd this week with only 12 players who competed in 24 games in which a total of 17,676 points were scored. Our folks found 52 bingos this session. Of those bingos, four (6.5%) were phonies that went unchallenged.

Ed Saunders was the night's top player, turning in a perfect 5-0 +394 scorecard. Nathan Benedict was the bingo king, playing 12 bingos in 6 games. Naurlene Canterman has the dubious acheivement of being the first player to play in over 100 games this season.

Vic Kaye won theLow Win contest with a 320-pointer that still netted him victory. Monique Kornell wins the "Start Out" contest for the highest-scoring word beginning with OUT by playing OUTCOME for 73 points. Both Vic and Monique pick up $6 prizes. The Triple-Triple Jackpot went unclaimed as did the 9+ Bingo Jackpot. Both Jackpots increase by $3.

Finally, from the "I'm in hell. Why is it freezing?" department, Naurlene Canterman finally took the plunge and is now online. Everyone please welcome her to the wired world, and feel free to bug Josh Kassel if you need her e-mail address.

Next session (24 April 2003) will feature prizes for:
- High Win (a quarter of dues collected)
- "Oh, You Are?" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the player who plays the highest-scoring word that contains the tiles O, U, and R played in that order (e.g., POUR, SCOUR, NOURISH, etc.). (a quarter of dues collected).
- Triple-Triple plays ($7.75 plus an eighth of dues collected)
- 9+ Bingos  ($3.00 an eighth of dues collected)
