Session Notes:

Yet another schedule update. Denny's Restaurant pushed back their remodel. We will be meeting on April 10. However, there will be no club the following week. So that I can take advantage of bold, red Arial 10-point font: There will be no club session at Denny's Restaurant on Thursday April 17.

This was our 21th session of the season. 19 players competed in 33 games in which a total of 23,964 points were scored. Our players found 66 bingos this session. Of those bingos, only four (6.1%) were phonies that went unchallenged.

Linda Bredel, Jake Jacobs, and Cairn all turned in perfect scorecards this session. Lewis Saul was the evening's bingo king with ten bingos in five games. Congratulations are also in order for Linda Bredel for her club rating hitting the 1400. Way to go!

Judith Whitcomb won the 9+ Bingo Jackpot with a 86-point play of MARINATED. This nets her an $8.50 prize. Nobody nailed a Triple-Triple play, and that jackpot grows by $4.75. Proving that there is a silver lining to every cloud, Lewis Saul won the prize for High Loss. He was (unfortunately) bested by Bob Whitcomb in a high-scoring 404-493 game. Jake Jacobs won the "I See" Contest for the highest-scoring word ending in IC by playing OTIC for 43 points. Lewis and Jake both pick up $9.50 prizes for their efforts.

Next session (27 March 2003) will feature prizes for:
- Low Win (a quarter of dues collected)
- "Start Out" Contest - A prize will be awarded to the player who plays the highest-scoring word that begins with the tiles OUT (e.g., OUTGO, OUTJUT, OUTSIZE, etc.). (a quarter of dues collected).
- Triple-Triple plays ($4.75 plus an eighth of dues collected)
- 9+ Bingos  (an eighth of dues collected)
